RaiseTheNorth

Terms of Service

Effective August 15, 2026

These terms govern your use of raisethenorth.ca (the "Service"), operated by Osidio Inc. ("RaiseTheNorth", "we"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What RaiseTheNorth is

RaiseTheNorth is a directory of Canadian venture-capital investors and a tool that suggests investors whose stated thesis, activity, and portfolio may fit a startup. It is an informational research tool.

Not investment or financial advice. Matches, rankings, and explanations are informational only and are not a recommendation, endorsement, solicitation, or offer. We are not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or your agent, and nothing here is financial, legal, or tax advice. We do not guarantee funding, introductions, responses, or any outcome. Always do your own due diligence.

Fund information & accuracy

Investor profiles are compiled from publicly available sources and automated enrichment. The information is provided "as is", may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate, and may change without notice. Listing an investor does not imply any affiliation with, or endorsement by, that investor unless expressly stated.

Your submissions

You keep ownership of the pitch, website, deck, or other content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process that content to operate the Service (for example, to generate matches and drafts). Do not submit confidential information of third parties that you are not authorized to share.

Acceptable use

Intellectual property

The Service, its design, and the compiled directory (as a compilation) are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the Service for your own founder/business research but may not copy or redistribute it wholesale.

Third-party links & services

The Service links to and relies on third-party sites and providers. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RaiseTheNorth will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any lost profits or funding, arising from your use of the Service.

Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. The effective date above reflects the latest version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
